Sebagai penyelenggara, The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) telah mengumumkan nominasi lengkap dari kategori utama Academy Awards atau Oscar 2020 pada Senin (13/1/2020) waktu Indonesia.
Nantinya, AMPAS akan menyelenggarakan malam penganugerahan sekaligus pengumuman pemenang piala Oscar ke-92 pada hari Minggu, 9 Februari 2020. Malam penganugerahan akan dilakukan di Dolby Theatre Hollywood & Highland Center, Hollywood.
Acara akan disiarkan langsung di lebih dari 225 negara dan wilayah di seluruh dunia. Kali ini, Ampas menunjuk aktor John Cho dan Issa Rae untuk membacakan nominasi.
